[EN6443] Phase Equilibria and Physical Properties (Graduate)
Course Description
The phase equilibria is broadly introduced for extending the insights of molecular thermodynamics towards useful applications in energy and environmental engineering. Students are expected to gain some experience in phase-equilibria while working their projects.
⠀.
[EN5405] Sustainable Energy Technology for Environment (Graduate)
Course Description
This class offers cover topics of sustainable and renewable energy technologies, considering in detail our present and future energy needs, options for continued use of fossil fuels with integrated carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies, and options for establishing an alternative energy economy.
..
[EV4227/EN5235] Chemical Reaction Engineering (Undergraduate / Graduate)
Course Description
This course is the study of the fundamental principles of reaction engineering including the concepts of reaction rate, stoichiometry and equilibrium to the analysis of chemical reacting systems. It also covers the design and analysis of chemical reactors via reaction kinetics, transport phenomena, and energy balances.
⠀.
[EV4228/EN5411] Environmental Thermodynamics (Undergraduate/Graduate)
Course Description
This course is the study of the fundamental principles of thermodynamics as applied energy and environmental systems, particuarly including the 1st & 2nd laws of thermodynamics, and energy & entropy balances. It also covers the application of thermodynamics to phase equilibria. The models for the non-ideality of gas and liquid phases will be discussed, and the model will be applied to solve the problems in phase equilibria between gas and liquid.
