MS 5137 : Introduction to Bioconjugation Chemistry(Fall 2014)
- Course DescriptionBioconjugation becomes a very important tool to generate diverse biointegrated materials with a broad range of applications, including assays, therapeutic protein engineering, imaging, biosensors, drug delivery, and diagnostics. This course will cover unique features of biomolecules, bioconjugation chemistries, linkers, and nanomaterials used for bioconjugation. This course will enable students to understand the connections among nanomaterial properties, chemistry, and the biological application of bioconjugated materials. Students will also learn detailed methods of bioconjugation in order to full advantage of bioconjugates for a broad range of applications.
