Thermoelectric materials make the electricity via transport of carriers from hot end to cold end because of temperature gradient. The performance of thermoelectricity is quantified by the dimensionless figure of merit ZT.
ZT = σα2T/κ (where σ is the electrical conductivity, α is the Seebeck coefficient, κ is the thermal conductivity, and T is the absolute temperature)
We aim to fabricate the flexible thermoelectric materials and study strategies to enhance performance of thermoelectricity using polymer based materials. i.e., organic super-lattice structure, organic-inorganic hybrid film, and etc.
